Looking For Low Gas Prices?
Everyone is in search of lower gas prices these days. The internet has long been used for price comparisons on consumer goods. Now we can use the internet to search for the lowest price on gas. Instead of driving around town looking for the lowest price, and burning up gas in the process, go to the web and find the best price in your area and start racking up the savings. Below are links to two sources of gas prices which can be filtered by zip code. If you have another site you use, please send me the link and I will add it to the listing.

Construction Update
As I am writing this I am looking out my office window. A crane is lifting buckets of concrete high in the air to fill up the columns for the covered drop-off. If all goes well, they are trying to set the steel in place today and tomorrow. Check back later for pictures and further updates.

23 This is what the LORD says:
"Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom
or the strong man boast of his strength
or the rich man boast of his riches,
24 but let him who boasts boast about this:
that he understands and knows me,
that I am the LORD, who exercises kindness,
justice and righteousness on earth,
for in these I delight,"
declares the LORD.

Summertime
Summer is a busy time. The months of June, July and August have the children going to camp, the students going to camp and on the World Changer’s mission trip and of course VBS. Summer brings a lot of activity and change to Alice Drive. Through these activities we are advancing the ministry and mission of Alice Drive to reach as many people as possible for Jesus Christ.
It is because of your giving to our ministry budget that we are able to spread Good News to as many people as possible. Your consistent and faithful financial support is also vital to the day-to-day operations of our church and ongoing ministry.
As we continue through the summer months, I want to encourage you to keep in mind the significance of giving and the eternal affect your offerings have on the lives of so many people. Through your continued support during the busy months of the summer, we are able to help as many people as possible take their next step toward Jesus Christ.

Construction Update
After working all of last week to clear the trees, the crew has finished clearing the ground for the new parking area. They are now beginning the grading process. As I look out my office window, I see the block masons beginning to lay the columns for the drop-off. It looks as if the project is moving forward and will be completed before the summer is over.

Work on the parking lot is moving along. This morning a crew is cutting down the trees and digging up the stumps to get ready for the site work to be done. As I am writing this, I can hear the chain saws cutting away. Keep returning to the site for more updates. I will keep you posted as progress occurs.

15Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16For everything in the world—the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does—comes not from the Father but from the world. 17The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever.

The Parable of the Rich Fool
13Someone in the crowd said to him, "Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me."
14Jesus replied, "Man, who appointed me a judge or an arbiter between you?" 15Then he said to them, "Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; a man's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions."
16And he told them this parable: "The ground of a certain rich man produced a good crop. 17He thought to himself, 'What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops.'
18"Then he said, 'This is what I'll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods. 19And I'll say to myself, "You have plenty of good things laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry." '
20"But God said to him, 'You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?'
21"This is how it will be with anyone who stores up things for himself but is not rich toward God."
