Cleaning Up

On Thursday I set aside some time to clean some clutter from my desk. It has been a few months since I took on this task. What surprised me was how much junk and trash had accumulated in such a short time. I quickly filled up my trash can and this after just one drawer. I already set aside some time each month to look ahead and plan my broad activities over the coming month. I now realize, I need to set aside a regular time to declutter and clean my desk. If I don't pay attention, the junk builds up and gets in the way of my productivity.

If the junk in my desk can build up so quickly, how fast can the junk in my life build up? The best solution to cleaning out the junk in my life is to spend a regular time with God reading His Word and talking to Him through prayer. Through these disciplines it is easier to keep the trash from building up in my life.

When was the last time you decluttered?

Build on the Rock Update

As we approach the second anniversary of the Build on the Rock Campaign we have several things to celebrate. The renovation of the Student Building has been completed. This provided for additional classroom space for Sunday morning Bible Community Groups. The additional parking and covered drop-off have also been completed. This added 62 additional paved spaces and provided an entrance by which people can enter the building protected from the weather.

Since the additional classroom space opened for the students, their Bible Community attendance has increased nearly 40%. Since the additional parking spaces were added, Worship attendance has increased 12%. Through your faithful and generous giving to Build on the Rock, space has been provided, space for people to come and Know the grace of a loving God, space for people to come and Know the community of church, space for people to Grow their character and space for people to Go share their gifts and talents with others.

Finally, thank you for helping this church take its Next Step.

Operation In As Much

“…Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” Matthew 25:40 (KJV)

Jesus Christ calls us to serve our world by being His hands and feet. Operation In As Much is a one day blitz where we will be in the community serving others in the name of Jesus. There will be several opportunities for you to serve through clean up projects, visitations, singing, carpentry, craft making, sewing and many others.
There is a way for everyone to be involved. Team leaders and volunteers are needed. Please prayerfully consider what your role should be and keep watching for further details.
